How to Fall Safely
Did you ever consider that life
was built on the fantasies you never
got away with living? There are reasons
for dreaming of shallow water climbing
past your shins, of nests falling between
branches; and like the necessities of heartbreak
you will not know them until you no longer need them.
Offer your wounds with open palms, make suffering
just a little less so. You are only one
body hoping to make another fly.
